Our Veterinarians
Dr. Mary DeCaire
|
Dr. DeCaire graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1976. After graduation, she practiced ranch medicine in the Alberta foothills for five years. In 1981,
Dr. DeCaire returned home to Muskoka and established Centennial Animal Hospital and Gravenhurst Veterinary Services. She is currently a partner and the Hospital Director. In 2004, Dr. DeCaire was honoured to be awarded the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association Award of Merit.
Special interests include dentistry, dermatology, wound management.
Dr. DeCaire is currently chair of the board of the Ontario Veterinary college Pet Trust. Currently Pet Trust is involved in the building of a new Animal Cancer Centre facility at the College. She is also involved in the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association planning continuing education and conferences and is on the advisory board of the Veterinary Technician program at Georgian College.
Her husband, George and their sons, Corey and Jordan live in Bracebridge. Other family members include; five cats, Robin, Jerry, Jay, Frannie and Avie.
In her personal time Dr. DeCaire is an avid reader, a passionate gardener and loves to travel. She has been a frustrated farmer since childhood and hopes to build a barn in the next few years.

Dr. Claire Duder
|
Dr. Duder graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1987. After graduation, she moved to Bracebridge to work at Centennial Animal Hospital, where she has been ever since. Dr. Duder became part owner of the practice in 2003.
Professional interests include soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology, pain management, reproduction and behaviour problems. She shares her home with 3 Border Terriers - Robin, Jamie, and Sydney, a potbellied pig - Alice and several cats. In her off hours, Dr. Duder participates in dog agility events with Robin and Jamie, collects Inuit sculpture and reads voraciously.

Dr. Stephanie Lehman
|
Dr. Lehman graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1977 and has been at Centennial Animal Hospital since 1997. Dr Lehman is an avid gardener and a fantastic cook. She shares her home with Scarlett, her Abyssinian cat.

Dr. Linda Bruhn-Moore
|
Dr. Bruhn-Moore graduated from Ontario Veterinary College in 1990 and has been at Centennial Animal Hospital since 1999. Professional interests include dentistry and currently, Dr. Mason and she are starting Muskoka Veterinary Imaging, a veterinary ultrasound service based at Centennial.
Her husband and two children share their home with their dog Skipper and two cats, Penny and Twiggy.

Dr. Birgit Degen
|
Dr. Degen graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2000. She also holds an Honours degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Nutritional Sciences. Dr. Degen started working at Centennial Animal Hospital in 2003. She is the director of our Smart Owners, Smart Pets classes.
Dr. Degen and her husband share their home with Muskoka, a Great Dane and Bones, their cat.

Dr. Michelle Holt
|
Dr. Holt graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1986. She worked at Centennial Animal Hospital from 1990 to 1996 and returned in 2005.
Dr. Holt shares her home with Gibson, a Schipperke and Jake, a German Shepherd.

Dr. Melody Mason
|
Dr. Mason graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1978. Upon graduation, she opened a small and large animal practice in Bracebridge and a small outpatient office in Gravenhurst. In 1993, she sold both practices and commenced a locum (relief) service. She provided time off for veterinarians in Ontario and also Victoria, BC. In 2004 she returned to Muskoka and joined the Centennial Animal Hospital team. Currently, Dr. Mason looks after small animal patients at Centennial, and also Gravenhurst Veterinary Services. In addition she is a partner, with Dr. Brun-Moore, in Muskoka Veterinary Imaging which provides ultrasound diagnostic services for both our own patients, and also for reffered patients from other animal hospitals.
Dr. Mason had 2 daughters, Gabrielle and Holly. She also has 2 grandchildren, Andor and Finn, who moved from Germany to Toronto with Gabrielle and her husband, Conrad. In addition she has 2 furry daughters, Georgia O'Keeffe, a Lhasa Tzu who is a constant companion, and Savannah, a Border Terrier who keeps her on her feet. Dr. Mason recently added a Quarter Horse, named Scout, to her family. When she can find spare time she also does black and white photography, and bronze sculptures (of animals and birds of course!).

Dr. Robyn Oberparleiter
|
Dr. Oberparleiter graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1995 and began working at Centennial Animal Hospital in July 2005. Her special interests at Centennial include the development of our wellness program for puppies, kitten, adults and seniors.
Dr. Oberparleiter has been married to Bernie for ten years and has two boys, Alex and Matthew. The boys keep them busy these days, but they do enjoy fishing and camping in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter. She is also interested in cooking... a good thing with two boys.
The Oberparleiter family share their home with Shelby, a collie x, and a cat named Cooter.

| Dr. Shanna Perry |

Shanna Perry graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London, England in 2005. She worked a mixed practice animal clinic until 2008 in Midland, Ontario. She then moved to Bracebridge and started working here at Centennial Animal Hospital.
She loves her job and recently completed a course in Medical Acupuncture for Veterinarians at Colorado State University.
Shanna and her husband share their home with their energy filled Lab X, Jed, and their hilarious cat named Trever.
She is currently on maternity leave with the birth of their first baby boy.
