Monica Phillips, RPN
Monica joined the Centennial Animal Hospital team at the end of April 2012, as a Registered Veterinary Technician. Previously, Monica worked at an emergency clinic in Mississauga. She also worked at Guelph Humane Society as an Animal Control Officer. In 2010, she graduated from Georgian College. Following school, she completed a Large Animal externship through OMAFRA, which specializes in large animal care.
Monica shares her home with two fur babies: one furry feline, Turok, and an adorable Chihuahua named Callaway.
Monica was born and raised here in Muskoka. She has always loved animals. In her childhood and teenage years, she spent her time riding in competitive Hunter/Jumper horse shows in the Trillium and A-circuit.
Striving to keep animals safe and happy has always been in Monica's heart.
Monica's special interests in the clinic include: surgery, dentistry and although centennial does not offer it, she enjoys working with Large Animals.
Although sad to leave the animal medical world, Monica has completed the practical nursing program to become a human nurse instead of an animal nurse.
