Hello Everyone!
My name is Princess Poppy! I was named by a 4 year old girl and the name has really grown on me. I have only been living with my family for about one year. I was adopted, along with my sister (Peanut the Destroyer – named by a 7 year old boy), when I was brought into Centennial Animal Hospital by the OSPCA; I had overgrown teeth and couldn’t eat properly. My overgrown teeth made it difficult for me to be adopted so thankfully, I now live in a great home, with 3 little humans who love us a lot. I come to work with my mom about every 3 months to get my teeth trimmed. I spend most of my days snacking on hay or pellets but I LOVE tomatoes!!! My picture shows how messy my face gets after I eat them. The first time my mom gave them to me she thought I was bleeding – it was so funny watching her panic and figure out where the “blood” was coming from. I have trained Mom and Dad to feed us when we start to whistle (usually when they make the "little humans" lunches for school because there are lots of fruits and veggies in there). They were really easy to train and are quick to give up the goods!!! This winter has been a very long one and I cannot wait until the weather is warmer and the snow melts so we can spend more time outside purring and eating grass and dandelions. As much as we love snuggles, being outside is so exciting!!! Let’s hope this nice sunshine sticks around and spring 2018 is here to stay.
