This little dog is only 7.5 lbs. He was vomiting a lot, so his owners brought him in. The veterinarian could feel something in his abdomen (red circle). As you can see from the x-ray, the object is much larger than the average diameter of his small intestines (black circle). Amazingly, the object had made its way all the way through the dog’s intestinal tract without getting stuck! We were able to retrieve the object from the rectum without the need for surgery. The object was a spikey rubberized piece from a child’s jewellery set. One lucky dog!
