Greetings common folk. My name is Princess Piggles. When I was first brought home as a young kitten, my family named me Isla. A beautiful name indeed but, due to my fondness for food and adoration (mostly food though), they quickly started calling me Piggles. I added the Princess myself, I mean just look at me, clearly it’s befitting.
My six feline siblings are just ordinary domestic cats. Except Tobey, he has longer hair like me but he is still just average. I’m the only purebred cat in our family. I’m a Ragdoll; it’s got the word “doll” right in the breed name so clearly I’m quite extraordinary. My Mom says she loves us all the same but I think we all know the truth.
I am a proper lady. I never upset my other feline family members. I think they just know their place so it’s really not necessary. I spend my days sleeping and eating, of course. I have my own basket, but my sister’s basket is in a better, more prominent location so sometimes I take hers. She’s not as “fluffy” as me but I make it work, with a few body parts hanging over the edges. I’m rather quiet most of the time and just prefer to be somewhere elevated where I can look down on my human minions and other felines. If I want attention, I will come to you. Please do not interrupt me when I’m sleeping. A Princess needs her beauty sleep. When I am hungry (which is rather often) I position myself in the middle of the kitchen and utter the most mournful of meows. We only get fed three times a day so it’s essential I let my humans know that it is meal time or I might fade away. The other cats eat from regular ceramic cat bowls but I prefer my meals to be served to me on my little red plate. Nothing says royalty like red, so it just makes sense really.
Well, I must rest know. Writing is quite exhausting and working is not something I am used to nor something I ever want to do. It just doesn’t fit in with my lifestyle. Princesses don’t work, they reign over their kingdom.
Hi! My name is Thomas. They tell me that I am a domestic short-haired cat, however, I am sure that is not true as I know that I have descended from royalty. How they can call royalty "domestic" is beyond me. Although I am 15 years old, I have only lived with my mom for 3 years now. Jennifer adopted my sister and I when we were re-homed through Centennial Animal Hospital. I knew from the moment that I laid eyes on her that she would be my family. However, it took her a long, 3 months to realize that she needed me as much as I needed her. I have made it my purpose in life to be Jennifer's shadow; we do everything together. She cannot go anywhere or do anything without me being right beside her. I have also taken it upon myself to manage the household. The other cats and the dog only do things or go places that I allow them to. I am a bit of a stickler for a tight schedule. Each morning I wake my family at 5:30am with my beautiful singing. Just like an alarm clock, I get louder over time. What can I say? Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and I want to make sure that it is served on time! If my mom doesn't want to get up that early, on her days off, I show her extra affection by tapping her face with my claws and rubbing my teeth on her forehead. That generally does the trick! That being said, I am really enjoying my "golden years"! I spend my days lounging in the sunshine or curled up on the heated bed until my mom comes home from work. I am spoiled! I am always showered with love, catnip, my favorite toys and good food. Although I can never be spoiled enough, in my books, I really did luck out!
Hi! Angus here, at your service! Ready to alert my owners if anyone drives in the driveway or knocks at the front door! I’m a Shih-poo, and was born 5 years ago at Centennial Animal Hospital by C-section along with my 2 sisters. I’ve lived with a few cats over the years, but nowadays I am the king of the house. I love to play fetch and then “you can’t get my toy”, and I absolutely love going for walks. I’m big into cuddles too…spooning under the covers with my family or getting tummy rubs on the couch. Bark, bark, bark, bark….nice to meet you!
