Charlotte’s Day at the Spa!
My name is Charlotte! I am a 12 year old, collie cross that my family adopted from the OSPCA over 11 years ago. I am not a social girl; I like my family, my home, my yard and that is pretty much it! I knew my Spring Spa Day was nearing. I had heard my family talking about all of the black tufts of hair I was leaving around the house and all of the dirt that was being brought in by my hairy “Grinch” feet! One morning, I saw my Mom grab my leash off of the hook and I immediately ran and hid behind the couch. After all, she might be trying to make my go for *GASP* a walk! I like to think that I am smarter than her, but she found me and offered me a treat. The next thing I knew, I was in the car! When I got to Centennial Animal Hospital, my mom set me up in a cozy house where I drifted off to sleep until Kayla, my groomer, came to get me. I went into the tub and had a shampoo massage with shampoo that smells like coconuts; my mom says I smell like a tropical vacation afterwards! Once I was towelled dry, I went back into my house, with a cage dryer, to dry me off as much as possible. I usually drift off to sleep until Kayla gets me out again. I then go up on the grooming table and the beautification process begins! Today, my mom requested a short summer clip, with an ear clean and a nail trim. There sure was a lot of hair on the floor after my groom today! After I was done, my mom picked me up. She always makes such a big fuss over me; which I love! When I got home, I ran to all my family members to show off! Please feel free to tell me how cute you think I am too...
